As the only state-wide organization specifically dedicated to child care professionals in Pennsylvania, PACCA can represent the field with state and national policymakers while providing a variety of information, networking, and educational opportunities that meet the needs of the early care and education community.

PACCA keeps its members informed on state and federal policy and legislation that affects child care. PACCA also represents its members on public and private work groups, task forces, and committees addressing child care and early learning. - Professional Development & Education

PACCA was created in 1973 under the name of the Pennsylvania Association of Child Care Administrators.
What does PACCA do?
PACCA provides several products and services to its members to improve child care in Pennsylvania.
- Public Policy: PACCA keeps current and informs its members on state and federal policy and legislation affecting childcare. PACCA also communicates to media, community leaders and the public the importance of quality child care.
- T.E.A.C.H.: PACCA is the licensed administrator of the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® PENNSYLVANIA Scholarship program. T.E.A.C.H. provides scholarships and assistance to eligible child care staff to pursue their CDA credential or Associates Degree.
- Education: PACCA cosponsors the Annual Early Childhood Education Summit in the Fall, conducts periodic regional forums & mini-conferences throughout the state, and bi-monthly webinars on topics of interest to its members.
- Information: PACCA publishes E-News briefs throughout the year and Action Alerts on critical child care issues and policies. PACCA’s website and member’s only portal provides access to information and tools, including archived webinars. PACCA is also active on social media including Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter.
- Networks: PACCA facilitates networking between its members and, through the PACCA Business Partners program, makes available special discounts on products child care providers use in their programs. PACCA's website features a Member Directory and a job board where PACCA members can post openings for FREE.
