Don't Blame Child Care Providers for a Broken System

The recent The Philadelphia Inquirer article highlighting preschool children with disabilities being excluded from care raises a serious issue that deserves attention. Children with disabilities and developmental delays absolutely deserve access to inclusive, high-quality early learning environments. Families deserve support, not rejection. But placing the blame primarily on early childhood providers misses the larger truth: this is often the result of a system failing both children and providers.
