Join PACCA
As the only state-wide organization specifically dedicated to child care professionals in Pennsylvania, PACCA can represent the field in Harrisburg while providing a variety of information, networking, and educational opportunities that meet your particular needs. Because Provider membership is by organization, all of your staff can take advantage of PACCA’s member services at the member rate.
PACCA provides a variety of products and services to its members, while advocating to improve quality and professionalism for the field as a whole.
Public Policy and Representation
PACCA keeps its members informed on state and federal policy and legislation that affects child care. PACCA also represents its members on public and private work groups, task forces, and committees addressing child care.
- PACCA works with the PA Dept of Public Welfare, Department of Education and the Administration to address issues affecting child care providers such as subsidy rates policy, professional development, pre-k in PA, Keystone STARS and other quality improvement initiatives, and emergency preparedness
- The Public Policy pages on PACCA’s website include federal and state issues overview, PACCA position papers, and a PA legislators’ scorecard
- PACCA Members receive up-to-date information on critical legislation by form of Action Alerts
- Tips and samples you can use in your advocacy efforts from publications such as the Week of the Young Child and Pre-K Toolkits
Education
PACCA provides educational programming and scholarship support for child care professionals to improve their skills and keep abreast of trends in the field.
- PACCA's 2010 Early Childhood Education Summit is scheduled for October 13-15, 2010 and will be held at the Penn Stater, State College, PA
- PACCA regional forums
- PACCA administers the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® PENNSYLVANIA Scholarship Program which provides scholarships to child care staff taking college courses toward a CDA, AA, BA or Director's Credential in Early Childhood Education.
